Sketched out in Corel Painter, this guy is the happiest bovine on a distant planet. He’s happy because fate has evolved him in such a way that his mouth is as close to the succulent grass as possible. Stubby horns are used to rake the grass, breaking seeds and softening up the plant matter so that it can be easily lifted up his unusual esophagus. Because his face is so close to the ground, tufted ears have grown large and articulate…swiveling here and there for the sound of any predators. Bright tufts of fur alert the herd if danger is nearby.
